Role Overview

As a Data Center Technician in our Commercial Division, you will play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within our data centers. Our projects span office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools, where you will ensure that our data centers operate efficiently and safely. You will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals to support the infrastructure that powers some of the most critical commercial operations in the region.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within data centers across various commercial projects.
  • Perform regular inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to implement electrical solutions that meet project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure all electrical work is performed in adherence to OSHA standards and company safety protocols.

Required Certifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification (mandatory)
  • Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably within commercial projects.
  • Valid electrical license for the state of Illinois.
  • Experience with OSHA 30 and lift certification.
  • Proficiency with network testing equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with network testing equipment.
  • Prior experience working on commercial projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

  • Primary Location: Naperville, IL
  • Neighboring Cities: Aurora, Warrenville, Lisle, Woodridge, Bolingbrook, and Plainfield.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with a standard workweek. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary based on project demands.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $25.86 - $30.98 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
