Overview of the Role

As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician at Jackson Electric, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial environments. Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation of electrical systems in various commercial settings, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Support experienced electricians in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in the maintenance of electrical systems, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as required.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment to perform tasks under the guidance of senior electricians.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports related to project work and safety compliance.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial or similar environment.
• Possession of a valid electrical license for South Carolina.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical tasks.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and procedures in an electrical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with basic test equipment used in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of commercial electrical systems.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Union, SC.
• Conveniently located near several neighboring cities, including Spartanburg, SC; Gaffney, SC; Newberry, SC; and Clinton, SC.
• Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as project demands dictate.
