Job Overview: Commercial Apprentice Electrician

As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician at Jackson Electric in Rome, GA, you will be an integral part of our commercial projects team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced electricians on a diverse range of commercial projects. You will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various commercial settings, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Collaborate with experienced electricians to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
• Utilize hand tools, conduit bending equipment, and power tools to perform electrical tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Complete tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with project specifications and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in electrical systems.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Possession of a California ET Card.
• Certified in First Aid/CPR.
• Demonstrated experience with hand tools and conduit bending.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using power tools in electrical applications.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects.
• Familiarity with the electrical systems used in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Rome, GA.
• Neighboring cities include Calhoun, Cartersville, Cedartown, and Summerville.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
