Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical system installations and learn specialized commercial wiring methods.
• Support power distribution projects and help program lighting controls.
• Install conduit and cable pathways, maintaining material inventory.
• Operate lift equipment under supervision and assist with fire alarm installation.
• Document daily work activities and support panel installation and testing.
• Learn building automation basics and coordinate with other trades.
• Contribute to the Greenfield Village expansion by supporting large-scale electrical setups.
• Adhere to Michigan’s regional electrical codes and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required and enrollment in a state-approved apprenticeship program.
• Basic electrical knowledge and 1-5 years of experience in Voice Data work within a commercial setting.
• Ability to read construction drawings and proficiency with hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and the physical ability to lift heavy materials.
• Good communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Must be a resident of the Dearborn area or willing to commute.
• Familiarity with Michigan electrical codes and practices.
