Security Technician at InScope
InScope, located in La Vista, NE, is seeking a skilled Security Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations, with a primary focus on critical facility cabling. Our projects extend throughout the surrounding areas, including Omaha, Bellevue, and Papillion, providing diverse opportunities for work in state-of-the-art facilities. With a large-scale project on the horizon in the La Vista area, we’re looking for a dedicated professional ready to tackle new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and certify structured cabling systems.
- Perform fiber optic terminations and testing.
- Implement data center cable management solutions.
- Coordinate and execute pathway installations.
- Maintain clean room protocols during all operations.
- Operate cable certification equipment and install overhead cable tray systems.
- Document testing results and maintain warranty records.
- Perform high-density rack cabling and manage hot/cold aisle separation.
- Ensure compliance with data center standards and local building codes.
- Assist with the upcoming construction of the La Vista Tech Hub.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance in partnership with local NE authorities.
Required Qualifications
- BICSI Installer 1 certification required.
- Demonstrated experience with structured cabling systems.
- Proficiency in fiber optic installation and testing.
- Expertise with cable testing equipment.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure and TIA standards.
- Experience with technical documentation systems.
- 1-3 years of experience in security-related work in commercial settings.
- Familiarity with Nebraska’s regional safety regulations.
- Ability to work in diverse environments within the La Vista area.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $31.28-$39.33 per hour, depending on experience.
