InScope is seeking a skilled Data Center Cable Technician to join our team in Union City, NJ. This role involves performing structured cabling installation for critical data center projects in Union City and the surrounding areas, including Hoboken, Jersey City, and North Bergen. Key Responsibilities

• Install and dress Category 6/6A cabling systems in accordance with industry standards.
• Terminate copper and fiber connections to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain proper cable management in server racks, ensuring neatness and accessibility.
• Install overhead cable tray and ladder rack systems for efficient cable routing.
• Perform rigorous cable testing and certification to verify functionality.
• Document test results and maintain records of warranties for future reference.
• Adhere to clean room protocols to protect sensitive equipment.
• Organize patch panel layouts and ensure logical cable routing and separation.
• Assist with fiber trunk installation for high-capacity data transmission.
• Maintain detailed labeling systems for quick identification and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and execute cabling tasks for a major upcoming project at the Union City Data Hub.
• Comply with New Jersey-specific regulations and standards for data center operations.
• Collaborate with local teams to ensure timely project completion and efficient problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 certification is preferred.
• Proven experience with structured cabling systems and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in cable termination techniques and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of testing procedures and cable management standards.
• Ability to read and interpret network drawings and schematics.
• Experience with labeling systems and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of network hardware components.
• 1-3 years of experience required in a commercial setting focusing on voice and data work.
• Familiarity with the Union City area and regional networking infrastructure is a plus.
• Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license and reliable transportation.
