Key Responsibilities

• Install and dress Category 6/6A cabling systems with precision and efficiency.
• Terminate copper and fiber connections, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain proper cable management in server racks, including installation of overhead cable trays and ladder racks.
• Perform cable testing and certification, documenting test results and warranties.
• Adhere to clean room protocols and organize patch panel layouts.
• Implement proper cable routing and separation techniques, assisting with fiber trunk installations.
• Maintain detailed labeling systems for all cabling projects.
• Specific to Morrisville: Support local data center expansions, comply with North Carolina regulatory standards, and collaborate with regional tech teams on the Triangle Tech Expansion project.

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 certification preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience with structured cabling systems and proficiency in cable termination techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of testing procedures and cable management best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret network drawings accurately.
• Experience with detailed labeling systems and a keen attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of network hardware.
• 1-3 years of experience in Voice Data work within a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with local tech infrastructure in Morrisville, NC, and surrounding areas.
• Ability to perform work that complies with North Carolina’s specific safety and technical standards.
