What You’ll Do as a Fire Alarm Technician
As a Fire Alarm Technician at IES Electric in Norwalk, CA, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of various facilities through the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician
In your day-to-day role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems. This includes programming fire alarm control panels and testing system functionality to ensure compliance with local codes. You’ll inspect and repair devices such as smoke detectors and strobes to keep systems in top condition. Preparing detailed service reports is a key part of your responsibilities, as is coordinating with building managers to schedule testing. Additionally, you’ll train end-users on system operation to ensure they understand how to respond in case of an emergency.

What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Technician

Compensation
