Overview of Healthcare Electrician Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Electrician to join our team at IES Electric. This role is integral to our commercial operations, particularly in healthcare facilities, where precision and adherence to stringent safety standards are paramount. The Healthcare Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within hospitals and other healthcare environments, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Essential Functions

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in healthcare and other commercial settings.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including those specific to healthcare environments.
• Utilize Advanced Test Equipment for diagnosing issues and ensuring systems are functioning correctly.
• Execute conduit bending and installation with precision.
• Interpret and apply knowledge from electrical Code Books to ensure compliance and safety.
• Work on a variety of projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial and healthcare settings.
• A valid electrical license for the state of Tennessee.
• Proficiency in using Advanced Test Equipment and performing conduit bending.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA 30 and Confined Space certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with interpreting and applying information from Code Books.
• A proven track record of working on commercial projects, particularly in healthcare environments.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Hermitage, TN
• Neighboring cities touching Hermitage include Mount Juliet, Old Hickory, Donelson, and Nashville.
• Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime based on project demands.
