The Fire Alarm Installer Position

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Installer at Howell Electric, your day-to-day tasks will involve installing fire alarm systems with precision and care. You will be responsible for pulling and terminating low-voltage wiring, mounting devices like smoke detectors and pull stations, and following detailed layout diagrams to route cables accurately. Core Fire Alarm Installer Responsibilities

• Installing comprehensive fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with local and national codes.
• Conducting advanced technical duties such as programming fire alarm panels and integrating systems with building management systems.

Required Experience & Skills

Basic Skills

Experience and Certifications

• 0-2 years minimum experience as a Fire Alarm Installer.
• Essential certifications include NICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Required technical knowledge includes familiarity with NFPA 72 standards and basic electrical theory.
