Position Overview at High Point Networks
The Cable Technician at High Point Networks will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems in office buildings throughout Woodstock, GA, and the surrounding areas. This role involves working closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables in office buildings.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing cable systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair cable network issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Document installations, maintenance, and repairs for client records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all work.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at High Point Networks
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: BICSI Technician.
- Proficient in using Wire Mapping Tools and Cable Management Systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Experience with Fiber Optic Tools and technology.
- Specialized experience in large office building projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in cable installation.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Woodstock, GA.
- Additional locations: Marietta, Roswell, Kennesaw, and Alpharetta, GA.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.81-$33.29 per hour.
