Position Overview at High Point Networks
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team in Rock Springs, WY. This role involves working on healthcare facility projects to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network cabling systems. The position will also involve collaboration with other technicians and project managers to ensure timely and quality completion of projects in Rock Springs and neighboring areas.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test network cables including copper and fiber optic systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assist in the design of network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members and healthcare facility staff to address technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during all projects.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at High Point Networks
- 2-5 years of experience in network cabling installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Experience with termination equipment and wire mapping tools.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Experience with punch down tools and related network installation equipment.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility network systems.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in cable installation.

- Primary location: Rock Springs, WY
- Additional locations: Green River, WY; Reliance, WY; Point of Rocks, WY
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.95-$32 per hour
