Overview of Commercial Electrician Role

As a Commercial Electrician at Helix Electric, you will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within a commercial setting. This role demands precision, a keen eye for detail, and a robust understanding of electrical systems and safety regulations. Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.

• Required Certifications:

  • Arc Flash Safety certification
  • CA State Journeyman License

• Experience with:

  • Code Books
  • Advanced Test Equipment
  • Blueprint Reading

• Typical Projects Include:

Required Qualifications

• Electrical Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field.

• Licensing:

  • Must hold a valid electrical license for the state of Texas.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting Code Books.
  • Skilled in using Advanced Test Equipment.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical positions, including standing, bending, and climbing ladders.

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in electrical work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Blueprint Reading
• Previous experience on commercial projects, demonstrating an ability to handle the complexities involved in large-scale electrical installations.

Compensation & Benefits
