Overview of the Commercial Electrician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team in Salisbury, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical work and be experienced in handling complex electrical systems in a commercial environment. As a Commercial Electrician at Helix Electric, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial settings, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and code books to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using advanced test equipment and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to Helix Electric’s safety protocols and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Possess 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Hold a valid electrical license for the state of North Carolina.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting code books and blueprints.
• Meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced test equipment is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects is preferred.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Salisbury, NC.
• Neighboring cities include Spencer, Granite Quarry, East Spencer, and Rockwell, NC.
• Schedule: Full-time position with opportunities for overtime as needed.
