Overview of Office Apprentice Electrician Role

As an Office Apprentice Electrician at Helix Electric, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our commercial projects. Based in Dallas, GA, you will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working on a variety of commercial projects within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for commercial projects.
• Support project teams in the construction of office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Operate and maintain power tools, basic test equipment, and hand tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Adhere to company and industry safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certifications.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Proficiency in using power tools and basic test equipment.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in using hand tools effectively.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects is highly desirable.

• Primary location: Dallas, GA
• Neighboring cities include Acworth, Hiram, Powder Springs, and Rockmart.
• Schedule: Full-time position with opportunities for overtime based on project needs.
