Retail Electrician Role Overview

The Retail Electrician at HCS Electrical plays a crucial role in executing and overseeing electrical installations and maintenance in a commercial environment. This position demands a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. The Retail Electrician will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other electricians to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to plan installations and repairs.
  • Bend conduit and run wire through walls, ceilings, and floors, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including Arc Flash Safety standards, to maintain a safe working environment.

• Required Certifications:

  • Arc Flash Safety Certification
  • CA State Journeyman License

• Experience with:

  • Code Books
  • Conduit Bending
  • Blueprint Reading

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.

• Licenses:

  • Valid electrical license for NC.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Blueprint Reading:

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range:

  • $33.37-$37.24 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
