Role Overview

As a Commercial Cable Technician at HCS Electrical, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial environments. This position requires a keen understanding of commercial electrical systems and a commitment to safety and quality. You will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects in various commercial settings, enhancing the electrical infrastructure of our clients’ facilities.

Essential Functions

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with all safety and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to plan and execute electrical installations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to effectively install and maintain electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulations by adhering to local and national electrical codes.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on electrical solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Required Certifications:

• BICSI Certification
• Basic Electrical Safety Certification

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting, demonstrating proficiency in electrical installations and maintenance.
• Valid electrical license for GA, ensuring all work is compliant with state regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with Basic Electrical Safety and BICSI standards.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may include lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or experience in First Aid/CPR to ensure on-site safety.
• Proven experience with commercial projects, showcasing the ability to handle complex electrical systems and installations.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Warner Robins, GA
• Neighboring Cities: Byron, Centerville, Perry, and Macon
• Schedule: Full-time position with regular working hours, including potential for overtime based on project needs.
