Position Overview at HCI Systems

The Security Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems in educational institutions across Malibu, CA, and neighboring cities. This role involves working closely with project managers and clients to ensure that security systems are implemented effectively and efficiently. The Technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting and providing technical support to ensure optimal system performance.

Requirements for Security Technician

• Key responsibilities for Security Technician at HCI Systems

  • Install, configure, and maintain security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Perform system inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.

• Low voltage cabling installation for Security Technician

  • Install and terminate low voltage cables for security systems.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of cable installations.
  • Conduct tests to verify cable integrity and performance.

• Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Security Technician

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools such as drills, cable testers, and multimeters.

  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications for Security Technician at HCI Systems

• 2-4 years of experience in security system installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: OSHA 10.
• Experience with: CCTV Systems, Network Security Tools.
• Physical requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: ESA Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with: Access Control Systems.

• Primary location: Malibu, CA.
• Additional locations: Santa Monica, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks.
• Schedule: Full-time.

• Pay range: $30.74-$37.49 per hour.
