Position Overview at HCI Systems

The Security Technician at HCI Systems will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of security systems within healthcare facilities in Calabasas, CA, and surrounding areas. The position involves hands-on work with security technologies, ensuring systems are installed to the highest standards. The technician will work closely with other team members to deliver optimal security solutions and maintain effective communication with clients.

Requirements for Security Technician

• Key responsibilities for Security Technician at HCI Systems:

  • Install, maintain, and repair security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and compliance with client expectations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.

• Low voltage cabling installation:

  • Perform installations of low voltage cabling for security system components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Document cabling layouts and modifications accurately.

• Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Security Technician:

  • Hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
  • Power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
  • Specialized tools (cable testers, multimeters, etc.)

• Daily tasks:

  • Conduct site assessments and prepare installation plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to align on project goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Project involvement:

  • Participate in project planning and review meetings.
  • Assist in the development of security system designs and proposals.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications for Security Technician at HCI Systems

• 2-4 years of experience in security system installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: ASIS PSP Certification.
• Experience with Video Surveillance Equipment and Access Control Systems.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various environmental conditions, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Security+ Certification.
• Experience with advanced Video Surveillance Equipment and integration.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Calabasas, CA.
• Additional locations: Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, and Malibu.
• Schedule: Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $31.29-$37.88 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
