Overview of Commercial Data Center Technician Role

As a Commercial Data Center Technician at H & A Electric, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of data centers within a commercial setting. Your expertise will support our clients’ operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. Requirements for Commercial Data Center Technician

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial data center environments.
  • Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Document all work performed and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

• Required Certifications:

  • Arc Flash Safety certification.
  • Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) preferred.

• Experience with:

  • BICSI DC Certification.
  • Environmental Monitoring Tools.
  • Power Monitoring Systems.

• Typical Projects:

  • Office Buildings.

  • Hospitals.
  • Schools.

• Experience and Licenses:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
  • Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Power Monitoring Systems.
• Proven track record of working on commercial projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.48-$31.59 per hour, depending on experience.
