Job Description:

Greenskies Solar is currently seeking Solar Panel Installers of all levels for our solar farm projects in Rosamond and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems in both residential and commercial settings. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team within the solar industry.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
2. Configuring PV modules, racks, and electrical systems and their components.
3. Applying weather sealing to array boundaries, building structures, and conduits.
4. Activating and testing solar-powered systems for quality performance.
5. Complying with all site safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment at all times.
6. Providing progress reports to team leaders and project managers.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a solar panel installer or similar role.
3. Knowledge of electrical systems and the latest solar energy technologies.
4. Ability to work in various weather conditions, on rooftops and in confined spaces.
5. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Certifications:

1. NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification is highly desirable.
2. Valid state driver’s license.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Applicants should have working knowledge of the use and maintenance of typical solar installation tools such as power drills, multimeters, clamp meters, and various hand tools.

Safety Requirements:

Installers must adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing protective gear, securing areas with potential fall hazards, and effectively handling electrical components.
