Solar Panel Installer at Greenskies

Job Title: Solar Panel Installer Location: Hatch, NM Company: Greenskies Solar

We are looking for dedicated and skilled Solar Panel Installers of all levels to join our team. As a Solar Panel Installer, your chief responsibility will be installing state-of-the-art solar panels on new construction sites and solar farms in Hatch and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are executed according to design and without error, ensuring maximum performance of installed solar systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation of solar panels on new buildings and solar farms, including mounting, wiring and grounding.
2. Inspection of the installation site to determine the best and safest setup for the solar panels.
3. Adherence to plans and specifications as provided by engineers and project managers.
4. Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing solar panel installations.
5. Compliance with all safety protocols and procedures during installation and maintenance.
6. Regular reporting to the supervisor about project status and issues, if any.

Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a Solar Panel Installer.
3. Knowledge of solar energy production, electrical systems and wiring.
4. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
5. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
6. Ability to work at heights, lift heavy items, and work in various weather conditions.

Nice to have Certifications:

1. NABCEP certification is highly desirable.
2. OSHA safety certification.

Required Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Must be proficient with standard installation tools including power and hand tools.
2. Familiarity with multimeters and other testing devices.
3. Knowledge of mounting systems and hardware.

Safety Requirements:

1. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures is mandatory.
2. Must use personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
3. Must be comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
