Job Description:

Greenskies Solar is seeking talented and motivated individuals for the role of Solar Panel Installer. Responsibilities:

1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair solar panel systems, including the solar collectors, concentrators, batteries, pumps, fans, or support structure.
2. Perform site analysis to assess the adequacy and suitability of the installation site.
3. Read, interpret, and execute plans, schematics, and electrical diagrams to properly install and test solar panels and systems.
4. Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with photovoltaic (PV) installations.
5. Configure, install, inspect, and maintain solar PV systems for optimal performance.
6. Regularly communicate with project managers and team leads about project scheduling, issues, and delays.
7. Perform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipment.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous experience in PV installations, roof work, general construction, or carpentry is highly desirable.
3. Understanding of the basic principles of electricity and solar energy.
4. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in the trade.
5. Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc).
6. Excellent communication skills and a team player
7. NABCEP certification is a plus.

Safety Requirements:

1. Must have a thorough understanding of safety requirements and protocols for installation.
2. Must be able to use protective equipment and clothing as necessary.
3. Knowledge of first aid and CPR can be beneficial.
