Job Description:

As a Solar Panel Installer at Greenskies Solar, your main responsibility will be to install, inspect, maintain and repair solar panel systems on new constructions and large-scale solar farms in Deming and surrounding areas. This role plays a key part in our mission to provide clean, sustainable energy solutions for our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation of solar panels and systems in line with site assessments and schematics. This includes mounting panels on roofs or other structures, ensuring panels are correctly oriented, and connecting panels to the power grid.

2. Conduct maintenance checks and repairs on solar panels and systems, replacing damaged equipment as necessary.

3. Comply with all safety protocols and procedures during installation and maintenance activities.

4. Perform electrical work such as measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing electrical conduits.

5. Liaise with clients and team members on project updates, plans and issues.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering or trade school certification is a plus.

2. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

3. Previous experience as a solar panel installer or similar role is preferred.

4. Familiarity with the use of hand and power tools, electrical equipment and measurement devices.

5. Knowledge of electrical wiring systems and the National Electrical Code.

6. Certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is a plus.

7. Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and comfortable with heights.

Safety Requirements:

1. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work area is safe.

2. Complete safety training as required.

3. Report any unsafe conditions or practices to management immediately.
