Position Overview

The PV System Controls Electrician at Faith Technologies in Lynchburg, VA, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (PV) systems and their control components. This role requires a skilled electrician with expertise in solar energy systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of PV installations.

Essential Functions

• Install and configure PV system controls, including inverters, controllers, and monitoring systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of PV system components to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute project plans and timelines.
• Conduct electrical inspections and tests to verify system integrity and safety compliance.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of electrical experience, specifically in PV systems or related fields.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Virginia.
• Completion of relevant certifications and training programs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and climbing.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications related to PV system controls and solar installations.
• Experience with advanced PV system technologies and energy storage solutions.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to the PV System Controls Electrician trade.

• Primary location: Lynchburg, VA
• Neighboring cities include: Roanoke, Charlottesville, and Danville, VA.
• Schedule: Full-time, with the possibility of make-up shifts to accommodate project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.71-$43.21 per hour.
