Position Overview at Convergint
As a Fire Alarm Tech in Larkspur, CA, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems, primarily focusing on educational institutions. You will work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality service to clients in Larkspur and neighboring cities, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech
- Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems in educational institutions.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions on time.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at Convergint
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems.
- Proven experience with Simplex Systems and Fire-Lite Systems.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in various site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Simplex 4100 Certification.
- Experience with Silent Knight Systems.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools related to fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Larkspur, CA
- Additional locations: San Rafael, Mill Valley, Novato, and other neighboring cities.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.94-$33.57 per hour.
