Understanding and applying NETA, IEEE, and NEMA standards is crucial for our Switchgear Technicians. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining switchgear and protective relays.
• Training personnel in power distribution equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Conducting advanced diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Implementing regional project specifics, such as adapting to varying local power distribution systems in cities like Elizabeth City and Hertford.
• Adhering to stringent safety protocols, including the use of lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Switchgear Technician.
• Essential certifications such as NETA or NICET Level 1-4 Electrical Power Testing Certifications.
• In-depth technical knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
