RCP Motor Mechanic Position Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced RCP Motor Mechanic for our long-term projects at Burdett Hill in Gloucester Point, VA. As a crucial member of our construction team, you will specialize in the maintenance and repair of reactor coolant pump motors. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation and safety of high-capacity motors, contributing significantly to project success.
Qualifications for RCP Motor Mechanic
- 5+ Years Experience: Proven track record as an RCP Motor Mechanic.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; annual completion of Radiological Worker Training required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using M&TE equipment, including dial indicators, micrometers, and torque wrenches.
Responsibilities for RCP Motor Mechanic
- Motor Disassembly/Reassembly: Handle vertical motors up to 12,000 HP (13.2kw Voltage).
- Safety Compliance: Work safely with radioactive materials using appropriate PPE.
- Troubleshooting & Testing: Address oil leaks, vibration issues, and conduct comprehensive test runs on motors.
