Qualifications for Coatings Engineer

• Experience: 5+ years as a Coatings Engineer with a focus on nuclear coatings.
• Certification: Minimum NACE/SSPC/AMPP Level 1 certification required; Level 2, Level 3, or Nuclear Coatings Inspection Specialty preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on inspection in coatings and 2 years of commercial nuclear coatings experience.

Responsibilities for Coatings Engineer

• Conduct and certify Nuclear Service Level 1 Coatings Inspections.
• Supervise and qualify Level 1 and Level 2 Coatings Inspectors.
• Train applicators in coatings application techniques.
• Review and analyze coating specifications in RFP documents.
• Recommend improvements in coating methods and equipment.
• Collaborate with customers on coatings selection and application strategies.
