The Apprentice Electrician Position
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Electrician with Bright Move Energy, your role involves directly supporting our journeymen and foremen in the installation and maintenance of EV charging stations. Your day-to-day activities will encompass assisting with electrical wiring, ensuring compliance with NEC and California Electric Code standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will also engage in troubleshooting and testing under the guidance of seasoned electricians.

Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of EV charging stations, ensuring compliance with NEC and California Electric Code standards.
- Pull and secure electrical wiring through conduits, trenches, and walls, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Participate in conduit bending (EMT, rigid) and installation under supervision.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Collaborate on the installation of service panels, transformers, and EV charging equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting tasks and system testing under the guidance of licensed electricians.
- Conduct advanced tests using multimeters and other diagnostic tools to ensure system integrity.
Regional Project Specifics
- Engage in projects specific to Stanton and surrounding areas, adapting to local requirements and site conditions.
Safety Protocols
- Attend daily safety meetings and adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience: 0-2 years minimum experience as an Apprentice Electrician.
- Certifications: Valid Electrical Trainee card from the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). OSHA 10-hour certification and First Aid/CPR preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and equipment. Familiarity with NEC and California Electric Code is a plus.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to job sites across multiple locations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working on ladders or in confined spaces.
Tools & Equipment
- Daily Tools: Multimeters, wire strippers, conduit benders, and power drills.
- Personal Tools: Basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches.
- Company-Provided Equipment: Larger equipment and specialty tools are provided by Bright Move Energy as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Working Conditions: Work involves outdoor environments, confined spaces, and the use of ladders.
- Safety Gear: PPE, including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
