What You’ll Do as an Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician at Berks Electrical, you’ll play a vital role in our ongoing projects in Sunrise, FL, and surrounding areas such as Plantation, Davie, and Fort Lauderdale. You’ll work alongside seasoned electricians to ensure the successful execution of both residential and commercial electrical installations. Your role is to learn and assist, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical skills on active job sites.

Your Daily Tasks as an Apprentice Electrician

Assist with Electrical Installations

You’ll support licensed electricians by helping with the installation of electrical systems. This includes wiring for outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures. Your hands-on work will be essential in ensuring that installations are done efficiently and correctly.

Pulling and Routing Cables

One of your key responsibilities will involve pulling and routing electrical cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits. This task requires precision and care, as you’ll need to ensure that all wiring is properly installed to meet safety standards.

Prepare Conduits and Mount Electrical Equipment

You’ll assist in preparing conduits and mounting electrical boxes and panels. This involves measuring and cutting materials to fit installations, ensuring they are securely and safely mounted.

Site Organization and Maintenance

Maintaining a well-organized job site is crucial for safety and efficiency. You’ll be responsible for managing the inventory of tools and materials, preparing tools for daily use, and keeping the site clean and orderly.

Shadowing and Learning
