Cable Tech Lead at AVI SPL

Position Overview

AVI SPL is seeking a seasoned Cable Tech Lead with proven technical and leadership skills for our location in Del Mar, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in entertainment environments such as hotels, convention centers, and sports venues. As part of a specialized team of 3-5 cable technicians, the Cable Tech Lead will direct and undertake crucial cable network setup and troubleshooting functions. Regular travel to major cities is a part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the work of a team of cable technicians
• Set up, manage, and troubleshoot cable networks in varied entertainment environments
• Regularly test, analyze, and certify cable networks using Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, and other relevant technologies
• Travel between sites, including regular trips to nearby major cities
• Engage in regular leadership-focused training

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in cable technology
• Cisco CCNA certification
• BICSI Technician certification
• Mastery of tools & technology like Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, Cable Certification, and Network Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Network+ certification
• RCDD certification
