Cable Tech Lead at AVI SPL

Position Overview

AVI SPL is looking for an experienced Cable Tech Lead to join our team in Burlingame, CA. This role will take the lead in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining structured cabling systems in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. Our Cable Tech Lead will be part of a specialized team of 3-5 professionals, providing technical expertise and leadership across the Burlingame region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems in a healthcare environment.
• Conduct OTDR testing and cable certification using tools like Fluke Networks.
• Provide network analysis and technical support for network systems and components.
• Work closely and effectively communicate with a specialized team to ensure project success.
• Travel within a 30-mile radius of Burlingame for onsite technical support and installations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in structured cabling or relevant field.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Network+ certification.
• Proficiency in the use of OTDR Testing, Fluke Networks, Cable Certification, and Network Analysis tools.
• Ability to work first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Technician or Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• Prior experience leading a technical team.
• Experience in a healthcare environment.
