Pay: $24.00 - $37.00 per hour (If you are a Journeyman who let their card expire, you must have a valid ET card to be considered and we can increase your pay to match the Journeyman rate.)

Prime Partners is actively seeking a Commercial Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for learning and a desire to advance in the electrical trade. You will assist experienced electricians in delivering high-quality electrical solutions for commercial projects such as retail centers, corporate offices, educational facilities, and healthcare buildings in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas.

Primary Responsibilities at Prime Partners

• Install conduits, junction boxes, and electrical wiring for power and lighting systems.
• Assist with assembling, installing, and testing electrical panels, transformers, and other commercial-grade equipment.
• Support the setup of energy-efficient lighting systems, including LED retrofits and controls.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of wiring issues and replace damaged components.
• Read and follow electrical diagrams, blueprints, and project plans under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain job site materials, ensuring all tools and equipment are readily available.
• Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems in compliance with local codes and safety standards.
• Assist in the installation of backup power systems, including generators and UPS systems.

Required Qualifications for Prime Partners

• Valid ET (Electrical Trainee) card registered with the State of California.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Camarillo, and neighboring cities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire cutters, and pliers).
• Conduit bending tools and wire pulling devices.
• Voltage meters and circuit testers.
• Power tools such as drills, saws, and impact drivers.
• PPE including gloves, hard hats, and high-visibility clothing.

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required for urgent projects.
