Position Overview:

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician or Foreman to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for commercial properties. This role provides hands-on training and mentorship while adhering to safety protocols and ensuring project deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation: Assist in installing electrical systems, wiring, and components such as panels, conduits, switches, and fixtures.
• Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately.
• Conduit Work: Measure, cut, and bend conduit for wiring systems using appropriate tools.
• Wire Pulling: Pull and route wiring through conduits and structures while ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
• Safety Compliance: Follow company and OSHA safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and repairing faults in electrical systems.
• Material Handling: Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from the job site as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience in electrical work is a plus but not required. Willingness to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program is necessary.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for long periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to job sites in Hollywood Hills and neighboring cities (e.g., Glendale, Burbank, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles).

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Basic knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Previous experience with large-scale commercial projects.
