We are currently hiring Apprentice Electricians to join our commercial project team. This position offers a hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and a pathway to becoming a licensed Journeyman Electrician.

Position Overview:

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist our skilled Journeyman Electricians and Foremen in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for commercial properties. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the electrical trade while contributing to exciting commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installations: Help install wiring, panels, conduits, switches, and fixtures according to project requirements.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Assist in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Conduit Work: Measure, cut, and bend conduits for electrical wiring using hand and power tools.
• Wire Pulling: Support wire pulling and routing through conduits and other structures.
• System Maintenance: Aid in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Safety Practices: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, ensuring a safe job site environment.
• Material Handling: Organize and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from the job site.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure efficiency and timely project completion.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Prior experience in electrical work is a plus but not required.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools safely.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including at heights and in confined spaces.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to job sites in Echo Lake and surrounding areas (e.g., South Lake Tahoe, Truckee, and Meyers).

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Basic understanding of commercial electrical systems.
• Previous experience on commercial construction sites.

Certifications (Optional but Preferred):

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• CPR and First Aid training.
