The Cable Technician will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems for healthcare facilities in Vinton, VA, and neighboring areas. This position requires a strong understanding of cable management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service tailored to the specific needs of healthcare environments.

Essential Functions for Cable Technician

• Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan cable installation layouts in healthcare facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to terminate cables and set up cable management systems.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliable communication systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.

Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at 3D Communications

• 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: BICSI Technician.
• Proficient in using termination equipment and cable management systems.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Network+ Certification.
• Experience with fiber optic tools and techniques.
• Specialized experience in healthcare facility cable installations.
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Vinton, VA.
• Additional locations: Roanoke, Salem, Bedford, and Lynchburg, VA.
• Schedule: Full-time, with occasional evenings and weekends as project needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $26.92-$32.36 per hour.
