Position Overview at 3D Communications
As a Cable Technician at 3D Communications, you will play a vital role in supporting our Educational Institutions projects in Fort Collins, CO, and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems to ensure optimal performance and connectivity for our clients.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems and related equipment for educational institutions.
- Perform regular inspections and tests to ensure cable systems are functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with project teams to design and implement efficient cable management solutions.
- Document and report on installation and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at 3D Communications
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Proficiency with termination equipment and wire mapping tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Extensive experience with termination equipment.
- Prior experience working on educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with specialized tools and equipment used in cable installation and maintenance.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Fort Collins, CO.
- Additional locations: Loveland, Greeley, Windsor, Longmont, and other neighboring cities.
- Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.58-$32.48 per hour.
