Job Description:

Prime Partners is a leading company in the electrical industry, specializing in commercial work, mainly new construction, and big box retail. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Santa Ana, CA, and its surrounding cities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and wireless communications systems.
2. Monitor and test systems to ensure they are working efficiently and correct any faults or system failures.
3. Interpret and implement blueprints and electrical schematics.
4. Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables.
5. Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and conduit.
6. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network and data communication systems including LAN/WAN systems.
7. Install, program, and troubleshoot telecommunication and network devices.
8. Maintain a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
9. Collaborate with the team and other professionals to ensure the efficient completion of projects.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Network Cable Installer or similar will be an advantage.
3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Voice & Data Technician in the electrical industry.
4. Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
5. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools used in the electrical trade.
6. Knowledge of data cabling and networking, including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic systems.
7. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the electrical industry.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
2. Ability to climb ladders and work in high places.
