Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of voice and data systems for our commercial clients. This includes but is not limited to structured cabling, fiber optics, and various telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain voice and data systems, including structured cabling, fiber optic, and other telecommunications systems.
2. Interpret and implement blueprints and technical drawings for new construction and big-box retail projects.
3. Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure the completion of projects within specified timelines.
4. Adhere to local and state electrical and building codes, as well as company safety regulations.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns with professionalism and urgency.
6. Continually update knowledge and skills related to emerging technologies in telecommunications and data systems.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade certification or Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the electrical industry.
3. Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice and data systems.
4. Strong understanding of local and state electrical and building codes.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Outstanding customer service skills.
8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
9. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
