Prime Partners, an industry leader in the commercial electrical sector, is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. This role focuses on new construction and big box retail projects, requiring thorough knowledge of electrical systems, network setup, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems in commercial environments.
2. Conduct site surveys to assess and document current conditions and project requirements.
3. Perform terminations and connections of voice and data cables, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
4. Test, identify, and label all newly installed or relocated cables.
5. Install, terminate, test, label, and document all voice and data cables and equipment.
6. Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
7. Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other trades on site to ensure project success.
8. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and positive company representation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or relevant degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a voice and data technician.
3. Strong knowledge of voice and data systems, including VOIP, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
4. Proficiency in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
6. Experience with new construction and big box retail projects preferred.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
10. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
