Low Voltage Electrician at Helix Electric

Helix Electric is hiring a skilled Low Voltage Electrician to join our San Francisco team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems including data networks, security systems, and audio-visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems such as structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and AV systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Pull and terminate various types of low voltage cables
• Configure and program low voltage devices and systems
• Perform system tests and quality checks to ensure proper functionality
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in existing low voltage systems
• Collaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate installations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Stay updated on the latest low voltage technologies and industry standards

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a low voltage electrician
• Low Voltage Systems Technician certification
• Strong knowledge of various low voltage systems and installation techniques
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with network cabling standards and testing procedures
• Familiarity with relevant codes and safety standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
