Journeyman Electrician - Sign on Bonus at Premiere Electrical
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work
Locations: Various industrial sites across North Carolina
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in industrial machinery and control systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Install and repair conduits, wiring, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure compliance with state and local electrical codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies
- Install and program variable frequency drives (VFDs) and PLC systems
- Maintain electrical systems in manufacturing facilities, including high-voltage equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and site managers to minimize downtime
Required Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Journeyman Electrician license
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including PLCs and VFDs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA regulations
- Experience with troubleshooting high-voltage electrical systems
Tools & Equipment Expertise:
- Multimeters and megohmmeters
- Conduit bending tools and equipment
- Cable pulling systems
- Thermal imaging cameras
- Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Nice to Have:
- Certification in industrial electrical systems or automation
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric control systems
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience in the manufacturing, food processing, or automotive industry
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
