Key Responsibilities

Electrical Systems Installation

• Install electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, panels, and fixtures, in commercial buildings.
• Execute work according to detailed blueprints, diagrams, and project specifications.
• Upgrade and expand existing electrical systems to meet modern codes and requirements.

Diagnostics and Repairs

• Identify and resolve electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and methods.
• Conduct repairs on circuits, breakers, motors, and other electrical components.
• Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and system updates.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety checks of tools, materials, and job sites to minimize risks.
• Actively participate in safety training and toolbox meetings.

Project Collaboration

• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project timelines.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure project specifications and deadlines are achieved.
• Travel to multiple job sites across California to assist with ongoing and new projects.

System Testing and Quality Assurance

• Test installed systems for proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Royal Electric’s high-quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Certification: Must have a valid California Journeyman Electrician Certification.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
• Skills:
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Expertise in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge:
  • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient and advanced electrical systems.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
