Helix Electric is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installer to join our San Francisco team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings, ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients’ properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and maintain fire alarm systems according to local and national codes
• Conduct system tests and inspections to ensure proper functionality
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate installations
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
• Stay updated on the latest fire alarm technologies and industry standards
• Educate clients on proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II or higher preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
• Experience with various fire alarm control panels and devices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs
